PFC systems increase production safety and help to save energy.

When working properly!

Health check for safety reasons

The operation of reactive power compensation systems reduces the network load, saves valuable energy resources and is usually standard when using inductive loads. However, compensating systems can also wear out and become a source of danger:

  • The power capacitors in particular are subject to aging and lose their capacity over time. This reduces the compensation performance of your system and increases the risk of failures.
  • If the system has contactors for switching the required compensation step, the contactors are also subject to wear. It depends on the switching frequency.
  • Likewise, fuses can age early and lose their protective function. They can even destroy when triggered and cause a fire.

Dangers due to the operation of faulty compensation systems:

  • Risk of fire due to aging capacitors
  • Destruction, overload, premature aging of equipment due to resonance-induced increase of harmonic distortion
  • Premature aging of the compensation (overuse, warming, etc.)
  • And ultimately the production loss due to the above mentioned risks!

Our approach: compensation system × health check / 2 years = 0 problems

The regular check of PFC systems ensures safety for the production process and reduces failure and energy costs, by repair of detected defects. Both function and performance as well as the suitability for the respective grid will be checked. If necessary, we will present suggestions for solutions.
