For several years, we have been supporting various companies in their construction projects. Unfortunately, weak points in the electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) in the cable laying become apparent again and again.

This is also the case in this photo. The planner probably thought that the basics of physics and thus also EMC do not apply in the ground. The empty conduits for power supply cables, including drive cables, have been mixed with sensitive measurement and control cables.

Freely according to the motto: "When the earth is on top of it, you can't see it anymore".

A major advantage for new construction projects is therefore to involve an EMC specialist as early as possible in the planning and construction process. Then such faults can be avoided at an early stage and corrected before failures happen. This means before commissioning and the "big eyes" when the system does not work as planned.
